Thuringowa State High School does not charge families for the cost of tuition, facilities or administration.

Each year subject fees are applied to support the delivery of education at Thuringowa State High School, and a Student Resource Scheme operates for the temporary use of textbooks and other resources.  These fees must be paid by end of Term 1, unless a payment plan has been established with the school or through Centrelink.

Student Resource Scheme Participation Agreement Form pdf

Throughout the year excursions and camps are organised to supplement classroom learning.  To ensure your students participation, the permission form and payment must be received by the nominated date.

Students enrolled in VET subjects are required to pay a 50% deposit in Term 4 the previous year to ensure a placement in the subject for the following year.  Full payment of the VET subject fees must be paid by the end of Term 1, unless a payment plan has been established.

Payments can be made by the following

Over the counter

Over the counter payments can be made at the school administration office each day from 8.30am - 4pm.  Payment methods available are cash, cheque and EFTPOS.

Pay online

Please be advised that BPOINT is now the preferred payment method for all student invoices at Queensland State Schools. BPOINT is a secure online payment portal supported by the Commonwealth Bank which enables parents and caregivers to pay the school online via credit card (Mastercard or Visa).

You do not need to register for BPOINT, you simply visit the link detailed below and enter your CRN (customer reference number listed on all invoices and monthly statements), invoice number (detailed on invoices and statements), student name and exact invoice amount.

Pay an invoice online using a Visa or Mastercard debit/credit card with the secure  PBoint portal.  Only available for invoices that include the CRN and invoice number.

It is important that only one invoice is paid at a time, so that payments can be matched to the invoice in our system.

Please ensure that you check the invoice amount carefully and pay the dollar and cent value accurately.

BPOINT will issue you with a payment confirmation that you can email to yourself after making the payment. Payments will process overnight and will appear in the school’s bank account within 24 hours of making a payment. The school will receive a daily report detailing those who have made a payment.

Alternatively, you can now access BPOINT via the QParents app and conveniently pay all your invoices this way

See the Parent BPoint pamphlet in the Quicklink for further information.

Direct Deposit into the School Bank Account

Parents can pay directly into the School's Bank Account, using your students name as the information.  Please contact the school for bank account details.

Centrepay

At Thuringowa State High School there are a number of ways in which you are able to make payments for school fees and activities. We understand that school expenses can be difficult for some to meet in full, particularly at the start of the year and where there are multiple siblings enrolled.

For this reason, one of the options available to our parents is Centrepay.  Centrepay is a free and voluntary service offered by the Commonwealth Government to Centrelink payment recipients.  Eligible parents can use Centrepay to pay bills and expenses, like education fees, as regular deductions from their Centrelink payments.

If you would like to set up a Centrepay Payment Plan, please contact the office to make a 10 minute appointment with the school's Business Manager.

Information on Centrepay deduction

Each Centrepay deduction paid to schools attracts a fee (currently $0.99 which covers Centrelink’s costs in administering Centrepay) that is not passed on to parents.

Therefore, when setting up Centrepay, we ask for a minimum fortnightly deduction amount of $10.00 per student, which will cover the school fees. Parents may choose an end date for deductions or specify a target amount. Regular deductions will cease automatically, once the end date or total target amount has been reached.

This is a very easy and convenient way for parents to make regular payments to the school, and is our preferred method of setting up a ‘payment plan’. Once set up, you can have peace of mind that your child will have access to all resources through the Student Resource Scheme.

This is the link to set up deductions from Centrepay.
