At Thuringowa State High School, the house system plays a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant school culture. The four houses are more than just teams - they embody the spirit and identity of the school community. Each house is named after local streets surrounding the school , which were named after the families who previously owned the land. Through inter-house competitions, events and vertical care classes, these houses cultivate camaraderie, healthy competition , and a strong sense of community, enriching the educational experience at Thuringowa State High School.

Care Carnival (Term 2) Compete against each other in care classes to gain points for your house. From elimination volleyball to spelling bees to school trivia, this event has something for everyone.
Athletics Carnival (Term 3) - Get ready to run, jump and throw your way to victory at the Athletics Carnival! A day full of energy, teamwork and school spirit awaits with a trip down to Red Track too!
