Inspiring Future Leaders in STEM Education
Thuringowa State High School prepares students for the dynamic demands of the modern world through its partnership with the Queensland Virtual STEM Academy (QVSA). Located in North Queensland, Thuringowa SHS is proud to be a host site for the QVSA in North Queensland, and is one of only two high schools in Townsville offering QVSA courses to its students.
QVSA courses nurture resilience, critical thought, and adaptability in our learners with transformational partnerships with JCU and industry experts. Young Scholars work collaboratively with like minded students across the State, in the innovative avatar based platform, iSee.
Our school provides targeted resources tailored for our Young Scholars who wish to continue their STEM journey from primary school.
